FanDuel Fantasy Football Running Backs: Kareem Hunt vs. Mike Gillislee

Take about a dead heat, Kareem Hunt and Mike Gillislee will both cost you $6,400 in week one. At that price, both might be a bargain.

Hunt is a rookie, but since the injury to incumbent starter Spencer Ware, he will look to carry the load. Gillislee is new to the Patriots, but he did score eight touchdowns for the Bills in 2016. He will probably be the goal-line option for New England this season.

If you are looking for a sleeper pick this week, the Patriots’ Rex Burkhead might be an out-of-the-box option. Burkhead might work well in passing formations, taking up some of the slack left by Julian Edelman‘s injury. If you need a cheap running back, at $5,100, Burkhead might be your answer.

SYNOPSIS: Mike Gillislee is the safer bet in this situation. Hunt is an unproven commodity, and who knows how much trust Andy Reid will have in him this early.
