Top 15 Rookies to Target in Fantasy Football: Number 11 – John Ross

John Ross could end up being one of the most intriguing rookies this year, as his speed is insane. The kid ran a 4.22 at the Combine and wowed everyone in attendance. As such, the Cincinnati Bengals decided he was worth a first round pick and here we are now.

With all of the Bengals’ offensive weapons, it’s tough to imagine Ross turning into anything more than a backup wide receiver for fantasy teams. Yes, his speed will be useful, but when it comes down to it, Andy Dalton is going to target A.J. Green, Brandon LaFell, and Tyler Eifert more than Ross.

Ross definitely isn’t worth picking up until the end of the draft and he could end up being a wash. On the flip side of that, however, Ross could also end up being a Tyreek Hill-type of player that the Chiefs got to see last year. If that’s the case, then those who gamble on this kid late could be very pleased come fantasy season.

Don’t get your hopes up with John Ross, but at the same time, if it’s late in the draft and he’s available, go for it. It’s not like you would have invested much into him.
