Kansas City Chiefs Stock Report

Stock Up: Seantavius Jones

One position that remains in a state of flux for the Kansas City Chiefs is wide receiver. Apart from Tyreek Hill and Chris Conley, there really isn’t anyone on this roster guaranteed to make the team. That means there is opportunity for a young underdog to make his mark. It looks like Seantavius Jones might be that underdog.

Seantavius Jones has been lighting it up in training camp this year. That has made him a fan favorite to make the roster. He capped that this weekend by being on the receiving end of a solid touchdown pass. While there was nothing truly difficult about it, having that moment on his resume could stick in the minds of the coaches.

The Chiefs are usually open to the idea of an undrafted free agent stepping in at wide receiver. In 2014 they gave the starting role to Albert Wilson. There have been a number of other guys to get an opportunity as well. Seantavius Jones has a chance to be next in line for that kind of opportunity.
