Who Is The #2 Wide Receiver?

If Tyreek Hill is manning the top receiver job for the Kansas City Chiefs, then who is in at #2? The job should belong to the man who had it last year, Chris Conley. Several players have talked about him stepping up as a leader this year after Jeremy Maclin was released.

However, if we’re just going off of logic, then Chris Conley should probably have been in line for the top job now vacant. If Tyreek Hill (who wasn’t even a full-time receiver in college) has leap-frogged Conley there, is there any guarantee that he’ll hold the #2 job?

What really casts some doubt here is that second-year man Demarcus Robinson has been turning heads in OTAs. He did the same in Training Camp last year, and was a very solid college receiver. I was very high on Robinson coming out of the 2016 NFL Draft, and still am. I fully believe he is a player to watch for the future.

This very well could evolve into a top Training Camp battle. The potential of Demarcus Robinson is very high. While Chris Conley has the experience edge, it would be hard to argue that he has been impressive so far in his NFL career. I would say the margin between these two players is much closer than many might think.
