B-. . . USA Today. NATE DAVIS

Another analyst also gave the Kansas City Chiefs a B-, citing that the team has had a tremendous amount of success in the regular season, but hasn’t been able to do much in the postseason. He then stated that Mahomes is hopefully going to change that for the Chiefs.

Davis also seemed to think that the Chiefs first three picks won’t be starters until the 2018 season, which I could definitely see. Some could argue that because of that, the Chiefs didn’t have a great draft, but I disagree. They’re already a solid team and really didn’t have many holes. Why not build for the future while still contending this next season?

"A team that’s won 43 regular-season games in four years under Andy Reid (but hasn’t made a deep playoff run) targeted a man who will be tasked to change that – and at the cost of next year’s first rounder. Welcome to the NFL, Patrick Mahomes."

Reading all of these grades has made it apparent that we really won’t be able to fully decide how effective this draft was until after the 2018 season more than likely.  Let’s hope it’ll be positive for all of us… We deserve it after all.
