2017 NFL Draft: KC Kingdom Mock Draft
Denver Broncos – Ben Almquist
20. player. 45. Not everyone is sold on Cam Robinson as the top tackle in the draft, but I am. The Alabama tackle is too good a player to pass up and the Broncos need a lot of OL help. The supporting cast for Paxton Lynch needs work. They will find a spot for Robinson, even if it isn’t at LT.. Offensive Tackle. Alabama. Cam Robinson
Cam Robinson fits the physical mold of a prototype left tackle. Has the strength to anchor against pass rushers and generate push in the run game. Robinson’s footwork is excellent and allows him to keep in front of the defender. Excellent use of his hands to keep pass rushers off balance. He plays with a mean streak and goes full tilt on every play.
Staff Reaction:
Cam Robinson is a good pick here. He should crack the starting lineup for the Broncos in his rookie season, possibly even as the left tackle. The one downside of this pick is that Robinson may be considered a reach at number 20 overall. Unfortunately for the Broncos, they may not have a choice as this year’s tackle class is not very good. ~ Jesse Holt
