Kansas City Chiefs: Free Agents To Avoid #2

Josh Gordon – Wide Receiver

The Kansas City Chiefs wide receivers were unimpressive last year, and it appears Josh Gordon is about to be a free agent. However, this is not as perfect a situation as some might think. In fact, I would argue that Gordon is one player that no team should want on their roster anymore. That goes beyond the issues he’s had off the field.

Well, actually, it probably doesn’t go that far beyond his off field issues. I mean, it’s not like he’s been on the field recently. In fact, Josh Gordon hasn’t played a down of football since the 2014 NFL season. That’s two years of inactivity, and frankly we have no idea when he will be able to come back.

Even if Josh Gordon were eligible to come back and play this season, which there is no guarantee of, he is still a problem child. The one-time star receiver simply is not worth any kind of investment right now. A team would probably get more value out of signing Michael Floyd, who has at least played football recently.
