Kansas City Chiefs: Free Agents To Avoid #3

Jay Cutler – Quarterback

You know it’s coming. At some point there will be a group of Kansas City Chiefs fans screaming for Jay Cutler. Nevermind the fact that the Chiefs will probably be 8-3 at that point. Some people just won’t get over the “Alex sucks” mindset. However, those of us capable of rational thought know this is just a bad idea.

Nobody will deny that Jay Cutler has talent. In fact, in terms of pure arm strength and velocity, there may not be a more naturally talented passer in the NFL. However, that’s about where it ends when throwing positives at Cutler. As a city and organization, it has felt like Chicago simply accepted Jay Cutler as a reality, and they hated it.

Jay Cutler simply does not have that charisma and leadership you want in a quarterback. In fact, it’s like he is the antithesis of that. From body language, to missing time for mysterious causes, to a general disassociation to everything around him. It just seems like Cutler doesn’t want to be there…and it doesn’t matter where “there” is.
