RANKING EVERY CHIEFS GAME FROM 2016 SEASON: NUMBER 9: WEEK 8 VS COLTS (30-14 WIN)

In week eight, the Kansas City Chiefs were traveling to Indianapolis for the first time since their epic collapse in the playoffs in the 2013 season. Indy was a team that always seemed to have the Chiefs’ number, so this was a big game for both the Chiefs and for the fans.

Despite Alex Smith getting knocked out of this game twice with concussion-like symptoms, Nick Foles stepped up and led the Chiefs to one of the team’s most lopsided score all season. The Chiefs finally beat the Colts and did so in dramatic fashion.

This game displayed just how bad Indy’s defense was, as both Smith and Foles performed well. The defense also had a nice game, barging through the Colts’ dreadful offensive line for six sacks on Andrew Luck.

It was a game that was all-Chiefs, but it was a scary moment for the fans when Smith went down in the first quarter. He later returned to the game, but was knocked out again and then went on to miss the game against the Jaguars (which was number 12 on this list).

This game wasn’t all that exciting from a regular fan’s view point, but it was fun to see the Chiefs beat up on the Colts and get a little bit of revenge for that humiliating playoff loss years ago.
