RANKING EVERY CHIEFS GAME FROM 2016 SEASON: NUMBER 8: WEEK 3 VS JETS (24-3 WIN)

After a disappointing loss to the Texans in week 2, the Chiefs were sitting at 1-1 on the season and needed a boost to keep up with the rest of their division. They got that boost in week three against the New York Jets.

The Jets had a lot of upside heading into 2016, but quickly became one of the most disappointing teams in the entire league. Ryan Fitzpatrick was horrible in 2016, which led to the strong hopes that Jets fans had diminishing quickly.

Fitzpatrick’s worst game, possibly of his entire career, came in this match-up at Arrowhead. He only completed 20 of his 44 passes for 188 yards and was picked off six times by this Chiefs defense.

Have you ever seen those references to Oprah Winfrey’s old show when she’d give out prizes and be like, “You’re getting a car! And you’re getting a car!”? That’s how Fitzpatrick was in this game, getting intercepted by Marcus Peters twice, Derrick Johnson, Eric Berry, Daniel Sorensen, and D.J. White.

Fitzpatrick used to own the Chiefs when he was the quarterback for the Bills, so it was nice to see the Chiefs fight back and get a little revenge on him for those blowouts back in the day.
