RANKING EVERY CHIEFS GAME FROM 2016 SEASON: NUMBER 12: WEEK 9 VS JAGUARS (19-14 WIN)

In the first win to appear in the rankings, we have the one game from 2016 that Alex Smith did not start. He was still out with a concussion when the Jacksonville Jaguars rolled into town, and Nick Foles took over starting duties.

Foles did not look good and the offense once again stumbled throughout this game. The Jaguars really should have won this game, but the Chiefs defense came through in the clutch and caused multiple fumbles to give Kansas City the win.

The Jaguars rushing attack killed the Chiefs defense all day long and their run game had not been good before this game. Blake Bortles also looked pretty good and had several clutch plays including a big run for a first down late in the game.

The “Nick Foles should start!” talk definitely died down after his terrible performance in this game.

A win is a win though even if it does come in ugly fashion.

This was also the game in which Travis Kelce threw his towel at the ref after no pass interference call was made. It’s funny now, but at the time could have really hurt the Chiefs’ chances of winning.
