RANKING EVERY CHIEFS GAME FROM 2016 SEASON: NUMBER 11: WEEK 7 VS SAINTS (27-21 WIN)

Week seven saw Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints roll into town, and it was a game that came down to the wire. Even with it being a close game, the defense once again caused key turnovers and the Chiefs were able to run out the clock.

The Chiefs offense struggled again in this game, but the fact that their defense was able to hold Brees and the high-powered Saints offense to only three touchdowns was pretty impressive.

Near the end, the Saints started to climb back into it. Had they had just another minute, this likely would have led to a Kansas City loss.

I was at this game and it was fun. Saints fans showed up and were loud, but in the end, their team couldn’t pull through. The reason it’s ranked this low is because it wasn’t a particularly good Chiefs performance, but still resulted in a victory for the home team.

There wasn’t really anything noteworthy about this game, but it was an impressive performance by the defense once again.
