The Buck Stops Here

I had intended on writing this article after the game; but I was overly imbibed with, well… We’ll call it Christmas spirit.

Taking off from my regular work Sunday night to be at the game was one of the best decisions I could have made. It was a cold and rain soaked experience, but it will be a game that I remember for years to come.

If not for the interception that was returned to the red zone, Denver likely never sees the end zone.

I thought the Chiefs were going to get off to a rough start when they didn’t get that third down stop on Denver’s first possession. Boy, was I ever wrong about that.

After that punt, the Chiefs defense completely controlled the game.

Big shout out to Dee Ford, who was in Trevor Siemian‘s face and backside all night. No sacks were recorded, but it cannot be understated how crucial the defensive line was to this victory. It’s hard to get into rhythm as a quarterback when you’re constantly being harassed.

The entire defensive unit deserves kudos for Sunday’s performance. If not for the interception that was returned to the red zone, Denver likely never sees the end zone.
