Will The Chiefs Be Healthy?

While you never want to “blame injuries”, Kansas City Chiefs fans would be more than just a little justified this year. The list of health issues facing the Chiefs this year is just mind boggling. Unfortunately, it isn’t resolved yet either. Kansas City comes into this week’s match up still banged up and uncertain as to who will be available.

We know for sure that the Chiefs will be without Jaye Howard who joins Allen Bailey, Parker Ehinger, Jamaal Charles, Justin March, and Josh Mauga on Injured Reserve. It appears that Dontari Poe will also be out. So already the Chiefs will be without their entire starting defensive line. Fortunately the depth of this group has been impressive.

Also of concern this week are Kendall Reyes, Dee Ford, and Justin Houston, along with Jeremy Maclin. That means there is a possibility the Chiefs will be without six of their starting front seven. Yet somehow this team wins. If the Chiefs could just get healthy, they would be a dominant force in the NFL this season. In fact, I wouldn’t hesitate to call them a top tier team.
