Running Back

Charles/Ware or Ingram?

Remember when Mark Ingram tore things up at Alabama? Well, he was so good that the Saints drafted him 28th overall in the 2011 NFL Draft.

Ingram has struggled with staying healthy and has only rushed for 273 yards this year compared to Ware’s 415 yards.

Ingram has, for the most part, disappointed during his time in the pros. He’s yet to pass the 1,000 yard rushing mark (though a lot of that is due to the Saints using a three-running back tandem for a few years), and has really one had one solid year to his name so far.

The Chiefs have both Jamaal Charles and Spencer Ware suiting up for them this week and while I believe Ware will be the starter, Charles will see increased carries from last week most likely.

Between Ware and Ingram, I’m going with Ware as the better running back. His production has shown that he’s durable and can get the job done at the position.

Ingram has struggled with staying healthy and has only rushed for 273 yards this year compared to Ware’s 415 yards. Ingram has one touchdown this season and Ware has two.

Ware is also more of a menace in the receiving game, as he’s amassed 231 yards in the air.

If this were between Charles and Ingram, it’d obviously be Charles in a landslide too.

Advantage: Kansas City
