Good: Special Teams

The most notable play on special teams came near the end of the first half. The Jets were returning the football when tight end Demetrius Harris was able to grab a loose football and run it all the way back for a touchdown. That made the score 17-3 in favor of the Chiefs.

All three parts of the team did their share and got into the end zone on Sunday.

Not only was that play HUGE for the KC Chiefs, but Cairo Santos has established himself as one of the best kickers in the league so far this young season.

Santos is still perfect on the year in both field goal attempts and in extra points. I don’t think any of us would have predicted that after his shaky start two years ago, but Santos has become a clutch kicker in the NFL.

Something fun to point out? All three parts of the team did their share and got into the end zone on Sunday: The offense on a Travis Kelce touchdown, the defense with Derrick Johnson’s pick-six, and special teams with a Demetrius Harris fumble recovery for a touchdown.

That’s how you win football games, my friends.
