#5 Backup Quarterback Snaps

A perennial headline for the Kansas City Chiefs always involves the backup quarterbacks.  That is even more true in 2016 as the Chiefs weren’t content with the backup quarterback battle they had, they needed to add another one by drafting Kevin Hogan from Stanford…oh, and then why not add another one by signing free agent Nick Foles?  Because Kansas City Chiefs fans love them some backup quarterbacks.

The Chiefs have already stated that Nick Foles will get all of the second quarter to work.  That seems like a lot for a guy that just signed with the team and doesn’t even know the whole playbook.  However, don’t rule out the possibility that the Chiefs are floating him out there for a trade.

Speaking of floating pieces for a trade, that’s essentially what the rest of this game figures to be about.  Tyler Bray and Aaron Murray are going to get their chances to show what they can do.  Chiefs fans should consider this auditions for the two young signal callers.  A good performance against the Seahawks could draw the interest of a team that needs some depth under center.
