Kansas City Chiefs Top Ten Players Who Need To Step Up – Number One: Dee Ford

Plain and simple, the Kansas City Chiefs need Dee Ford to “get it” now.  The Chiefs have some issues facing the future of the position.  Tamba Hali still has some gas in the tank, but you have to wonder just how much at this point.  The Chiefs will also play at least some of this season without Justin Houston leading the pass rush.

Dee Ford has not lived up to his 1st round investment, but he has flashed talent.  The Chiefs need more than a flash though.  They need reliability, and at a high level.  If Dee Ford can finally make full use of his natural talent, he will help the Chiefs both immediately and in the long term.  The third year is the most important for development, and that’s where Ford is…time to step up.
