Scared Stripe-less

Salvador Perez could be considered a strong candidate to be the Tiger beater also. He’s got a career slash line against the Tigers of .313/.350/.496, but most of his damage comes against Justin Verlander.

While he hasn’t been striking fear into the hearts of many this season, Kendrys Morales is the Royals’ weapon against the Tigers.

Against the Tigers in his career, Kendrys Morales has slashed .315/.360/.519 in 258 plate appearances.

In that time he’s got 16 doubles, nine home runs, and even three triples against the always dangerous Tigers. He’s also driven in 40 runs against the tigers in only 64 games played.

Hopefully, the designated hitter for the Royals can start to figure out how to be more than a designated out sometime soon this season. His bat is an integral part of the Royals’ success.

While it’s not great, this season in wins he’s slashing .231/.305/.404 with five home runs and 20 RBIs. In losses his slash line is .144/.198.222 with one home run and two runs batted in.
