Keeping the South Siders South of .500

Jeff Samardzija had beef with the Royals last season and took exception to one Royal in particular. Maybe it’s because Lorenzo Cain has been crushing the White Sox in his career.

Lorenzo Cain has been a thorn in the side for the Chicago White Sox. His career slash line against the Sox is .300/.327/.487. 29 of his 79 hits against the south siders are for extra bases.

He’s got 18 doubles, two triples, and nine home runs against the White Sox. He’s also driven in 41 runs which is by far his best mark against any team.

If he’s not driving in runs, he’s scoring runs having scored 37 times for the Royals against the White Sox. He’s also chipped in ten stolen bases against the team that has become maybe the biggest rival in the division.

The White Sox hate Lorenzo Cain, which makes it all the sweeter that he’s so often the one sending them home without a win.
