Best quarterbacks in Kansas football history: 10. Adam Barmann

For four years, Adam Barmann graced KU’s presence. He finished his career with 3,020 passing yards, 19 touchdowns, and 21 interceptions.

Barmann played for the Jayhawks from 2003-2006 and appeared in 22 games over that span. The Jayhawks were fairly irrelevant during that time, posting losing records in 2003 and 2004. They did, however, have non-losing seasons during Barmann’s final two years.

Barmann saw most of his starting time in 2004 and 2006. The 2004 season saw him play in eight games and the 2006 season he appeared in six.

While Adam Barmann’s passing stats weren’t anything spectacular, he threw for over 1,400 yards during the 2004 season. The Jayhawks had a losing record that year, but Barmann threw for more touchdowns (12) than he did interceptions (nine), which was unheard of for a KU quarterback at the time (and still kind of).

Despite Barmann’s higher career interception rate, he still makes this list at number ten.
