Week 10 at Buffalo Bills

This game might not have been a highlight to others, but I felt like it was huge for Kansas City. The Buffalo Bills have always been one of those teams that has felt like a rival to the Chiefs despite not being in the same division. This marked the seventh straight year the two teams met and the third in a row that the game was in Orchard Park.

The Chiefs were behind for the duration of the game, but managed to come back and win the game in the fourth quarter. Alex Smith ran in for the game leading touchdown and let out a yell when he got the points. It was an awesome moment and showed that the Chiefs could come from behind and steal a victory away.

Also, it was against the Bills, whom I’ve really grown to hate. With Rex Ryan coaching there now, I just know they’re going to continue to be an annoying team down the road. 2015 will be the eighth straight year the two teams have played.

Week 11 VS Seattle Seahawks

This was a great game and really marked when fans started to believe. The Seattle Seahawks posed a similar game to the Chiefs where their defense and running game were keys to their success. Neither team really had a star wide receiver and it showed during the game.

In a frigid game in Kansas City, the Chiefs held the lead for most of the day until the Seahawks went ahead late in the third quarter. The Chiefs were able to get the final lead of the day when Knile Davis punched the football in for a touchdown. Kansas City’s defense was able to stop the Seahawks offense on three straight fourth down attempts and run away with this game for their fifth straight win.

At the time, this game was incredible. Less than a week later though, the Chiefs dropped to the winless Oakland Raiders on Thursday Night Football and lost their next two games after that. Where did that momentum go?
