THE OFFENSE

Kansas City Chiefs. JAMAAL CHARLES. A-. Jamaal Charles had a big day, rushing for 73 yards on 13 carries for 2 TD’s. His last 38 yard scamper was vintage Jamaal, as he juked, shifted, and out ran his way to the endzone. However, Jamaal gets an A- for his fumble he had at a crucial moment in the game. Luckily the Rams missed a field goal but, that turnover could have proven costly.. RB

ALEX SMITH. A+. I love the way Alex Smith played yesterday. Smith went 24/28 for 226 yards passing and no TD’s. His ability to distribute the ball and make the right reads was a sight to see, earning him an easy A+. Smith is putting together a great season, even better than last year and I expect more of the same from him as the season progresses.. QB. Kansas City Chiefs

A+. Knile Davis had a big day on the ground as well, carrying the ball 16 times for 49 yards and a touchdown. Davis got most of his touches in the fourth quarter, picking up a couple of big first downs and helping to eat up the clock. His running style, combined with his speed is really something to see and his ability to limit Charles touches is something that will help this team through the final 8 weeks. Great game from Knile and more grades for him on special teams.. RB. Kansas City Chiefs. KNILE DAVIS

B+. Bowe had a decent day but it’s still hasn’t been a $10 million per year kind of day. He hauled in 6 receptions for 64 yards and made some big catches on third down. With the tight ends now demanding more attention, Bowe is getting more one-on-one opportunities and Alex Smith is looking his way. I look for Bowe to have a breakout game in the near future.. WR. Kansas City Chiefs. DWAYNE BOWE

All Positions. Kansas City Chiefs. OVERALL OFFENSE. A. The entire offensive unit earns an A. The offensive line, Eric Fisher in particular, struggled for a brief moment to contain Robert Quinn but after his two quick sacks, he was completely shut down. The Chiefs out gained the Rams 361 yards to their 200. It was a great effort from this group which helped get them their fourth win on the season.
