Offensive Weapon. Kansas City Chiefs. DE'ANTHONY THOMAS. B. 4th round pick, 124th overall

De’Anthony Thomas was drafted in the hopes that he would replace what Dexter McCluster used to do for the Chiefs. Sadly, Thomas had an injury that kept him out of the regular season until week 5 against the 49ers.

Thomas made a big difference in that game, including recording his first NFL touchdown with a 17 yard pass from Alex Smith. Thomas also started the drive with a 28 yard punt return.

A “B” grade might seem a bit too high for someone whose only played in one game, but Thomas has done the best out of this draft class so far. His quickness and ability to fulfill a number of offensive positions will go a long way for the Kansas City Chiefs and hopefully he has a good rest of the season.

N/A. 5th round pick, 163rd overall. QB. Kansas City Chiefs. AARON MURRAY

Let me just say that I absolutely loved this pick. The Chiefs were pretty well set at the quarterback position, at least with the starter and backup positions secured, but hey… We weren’t sure what Tyler Bray was capable of. Aaron Murray is a fan favorite here in Kansas City and he hasn’t even dressed for a regular season game.

I can’t give the recently engaged Mr. Murray a grade since he hasn’t played yet, but honestly… I see good things for him in the Chiefs’ future. This is just my opinion, but I could see Kansas City parting ways with Chase Daniel in the offseason and then Murray would become the backup. That’s just me though.
