The Kansas City Royals are coming off an impressive home stand against the Los Angeles Angels where they swept the Halos in three games. The Royals finally started to look like they had some fire in them.

Now the San Francisco Giants will roll into Kansas City to face the Royals. This will be the first time the Giants have been to Kauffman Stadium since Game 7 of the 2014 World Series, where the bad guys ultimately reigned supreme and swiped the crown from our beloved boys in blue.

The disappointment from losing the World Series that year sparked the Royals to go on and win the whole thing in 2015. Kansas City was behind their baseball team all the way and while this is only a two-game series, it’d be nice to see the Royals sweep the series and get some minor revenge on the Giants for ruining the original fairy tale.

San Francisco currently sits at 5-9 and are last in the National League West. That division has looked promising this season, which you know… Of course that division has to look promising the year that the Royals are scheduled to play against them.

The Giants’ bullpen is atrocious (but has a better ERA than the Royals’ pen), which means the Royals will need to get the starters out of the game so that they can face the Giants relievers.

So, with all of that said, which KC Royals players should we be keeping our eyes on in this two-game series? Let’s take a look.
