The KC Chiefs return home to Arrowhead Stadium this Sunday and will welcome in the New Orleans Saints. For an inside look, I spoke with Barry Hirstius, editor of Big Easy Believer, New Orleans’ local FanSided site.

After a month either on the road or on a bye week, the Kansas City Chiefs will finally make their triumphant return to Arrowhead Stadium.

Known as one of the loudest stadiums in all of sports, the Chiefs have played their most memorable games at home, and now will welcome in a team that hasn’t played there in eight years in the New Orleans Saints.

The Chiefs are riding high after a beatdown of the Oakland Raiders last weekend in the Black Hole. Kansas City stuck with the run game all day long and it proved to be the difference, as the good guys won 26-10.

With a 3-2 record and a 2-0 record at home, the Kansas City Chiefs have to like their chances against this week’s opponent: the New Orleans Saints.

Sure, the Saints have future Hall of Famer Drew Brees at quarterback, but the Saints’ defense is one of the worst in the entire league.

Alex Smith and the Chiefs offense will have to take advantage of the poor Saints defense and get points on the board on as many possessions as possible.

Brees hasn’t aged a bit at quarterback and is still slinging the ball like he’s in his 20s. Chiefs fans might remember playing against Brees frequently back when he was a member of the San Diego Chargers from 2001-2005. He went 1-3 at Arrowhead in games he started for San Diego and 5-5 against them in his entire career.

Now 11 years and one Super Bowl ring later, Drew Brees leads the Saints into Arrowhead, coming off of a two-game win streak. That’s where my questions began with Barry Hirstius of Big Easy Believer. Continue on to read the question and answer segment.
