The KC Royals are on pace for some crazy stats after their first five games. Let’s have some fun with what could happen if they kept up this unlikely pace.

After the first five games of the season the KC Royals were off to a great start with a 4-1 record. As this article is currently being written the Royals trail 6-0 against the Astros in their home opener. The Royals still have 4.2 innings to hit so anything is possible especially in Houston.

None of the stats that the Royals are on pace for after the first five games are very likely or even realistic, but they’re still fun to look at. They also don’t take into consideration any of the statistics from the first game against the Astros.

There’s nothing more unbelievable that the projected stats for a player or for a team following the first couple games of a brand new season.

For example Trevor Story hitting two home runs in his first Major League game projected out to 324 over the course of a full season. Very unlikely, but then he gave it his best shot at making it happen by hitting seven in his first six games.

Let’s take a look at a few things the Royals could do this season if things keep going the same way.
