Come From Behind Wins

The KC Royals tied for the lead last season in comeback victories with the Houston Astros. Both teams had 41 such victories on the season which may have helped the Royals be so comfortable playing from behind in the playoffs.

If early numbers mean anything, (they don’t), then 2016 could see the Royals be an even more dynamic come from behind team this season.

In their first five games of the year, the Royals have two come from behind wins, and it will be three by the time this sixth game is over (unlikely, but who am I to count out the Royals until the final out?).

That puts them on pace to stage an incredible 65 come from behind victories in 2016 which would blow away their 41 game mark last season.

If the Royals plan on being cardiac kids all season long and into October again this year it’s a good thing they have so many new fans. They’ll likely need them to replace those who suffer heart attacks as the season plays out.
