Madden Predicts Kansas City Chiefs vs Tennessee Titans

facebooktwitterreddit

The Kansas City Chiefs face off with the Tennessee Titans on Sunday so I booted up Madden 15 for Xbox One and let the simulation decide the outcome. For those that caught the Madden Simulates The Kansas City Chiefs Season article from earlier in the week should note that I did not use the outcome from those games for this.

I did and will do brand new simulations every week to be more consistent and account for injuries, suspensions, and other roster changes so the outcomes may not be consistent with the season prediction.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

The story of this game will be the Chiefs dominate statistically but are unable to find the end zone as they fall to the Titans with a 17-9 final score.

In his first game after signing a 4 year $68 million extension, Alex Smith will have one of his worst games in his professional career throwing an uncharacteristic 0 TD and 3 INT. The Chiefs lost the game more than the Titans won it.

The Titans managed the game with 0 turnovers and the Chiefs gave it away 4 times. It is hard to win any game when you give the ball away 4 more times than your opponent. The Chiefs were lucky the game was even close.

Dexter McCluster has a sub par game on the ground but was on the receiving end of a touchdown in his return to KC. Ryan Succop was also able to get on the board in his return to KC, making both extra points and hitting his only field goal attempt.

The Chiefs defense was stout and held the Titans to only 17 points despite being put in compromising positions consistently by the offense. Being no stranger to his competition, Cairo Santos once again faced off against Ryan Succop and was a bright spot as he makes his regular season professional debut and does every thing he was asked making all 3 off his field goal attempts.

Donnie Avery did well stepping in for the suspended Dwayne Bowe, as he was the leading receiver in the game with 89 yards and averaging better than 10 yards a catch.

At the end of the day, the Chiefs have to be disappointed with the start of the season and Alex Smith will be looking to rebound in week 2 against the Denver Broncos. Tune in Sunday to see if the Madden Simulation got it right (I hope not) and don’t miss next weeks edition of Madden Simulates: Kansas City Chiefs vs Denver Broncos.
