2. Kansas Jayhawks

2020 Record: 0-9

KU has gone through a lot of coaching changes over the years and still can’t seem to find the right person to turn the team around. Coach Klieman traveled to Lawrence in 2019 and beat the Jayhawks 38-10 and then beat them in Manhattan last season 55-14.

When the Wildcats traveled to Lawrence in 2019 Les Miles gave the famous speech in the locker room shouting “Who is K-State??”, and Miles quickly found out who the Cats were. Now that Miles is out, Lance Leipold has taken over as the new head coach. Leipold was previously at Buffalo and led them to a 6-1 record for the 2020 season.

Back in March of this year, a FanSided article was written about KU’s record prediction for the upcoming season.

Austin Lloyd predicted the Jayhawks to go 1-11 this year with no wins in conference play. KU is yet again predicted to finish last in the Big 12 conference and I believe that is a reasonable expectation given Les Miles retiring and another new head coach in Lance Leipold taking over.

Once KU at least has a consistent coach they could focus more on the transfer portal and recruiting overall.

K-State has owned KU football the past decade and I don’t expect that to change in Klieman’s third year as head coach. Lawrence will be painted purple for one weekend this fall as the Cats look to bring another football Sunflower Showdown win back to the Little Apple.
