Offensive Linemen for KC Chiefs to Target: Nick Easton

KC Kingdom’s own John McCarty was the first to pound the drum for Nick Easton, who previously played for the Saints before New Orleans released him. John listed Easton as one of eight potential free agent targets for Kansas City and had this to say,

"Easton has played in wide-open passing offenses and has shown versatility, contributing at both center and guard. He’s a player Reid would like, assuming the price is right. Easton will turn 29 this spring, so a two or three-year deal could make sense and provide value to both parties."

There’s a lot to like about Easton. As John mentioned, he’s versatile and can play at any of the interior offensive line spots. That makes him very appealing to this team, as left guard has been a revolving door and we’ve already discussed the center position.

Easton might be one of the more affordable options along the offensive line for KC and hopefully, they make a push to bring him in.

Offensive Linemen for KC Chiefs to Target: Taylor Moton

In that same article, John also lists Taylor Moton as someone he’d like to see the Chiefs target. He’s sold me on Moton, mentioning how he’s started every single game at right tackle the past three years. The durability is a key factor in why this would be a good signing for the Chiefs.

As John mentions in that post, Moton probably will get overpaid in free agency and that doesn’t bode well for Kansas City. They might have to overpay someone though and doing so to protect Patrick Mahomes isn’t a bad investment at all.

The Kansas City Chiefs are going to address the offensive line this offseason, but will they do so more through free agency or the draft? If they go the free-agent route, these five names would be good signings.
