The KC Chiefs have questions along the offensive line in free agency with tough decisions to make.

The Chiefs have a slew of questions along the offensive line with pending free agents, and tough decisions will need to be made. Starting right guard Andrew Wylie, right tackle Mike Remmers, backup center Daniel Kilgore, and center Austin Reiter are all free agents after this season. The salary cap is going to be tight, and the Chiefs will have to figure out what to do, and can they afford to bring anyone back.

Personally, I am looking at bringing back Remmers if I can only pick one. Remmers is a far better right tackle than he is a left tackle, but he can play the left side at least well enough on a short term basis if Eric Fisher is not ready to start the season.

Wylie is valuable, but if LDT is returning to play right guard and Allegretti can play left guard, that makes Wylie expendable. Allegretti played center at Illinois in college, Darryl Williams spent the season on the practice squad after playing both center and guard at Mississippi State, meaning Reiter isn’t the only one capable of playing center.

That being said, if I can pick a second offensive lineman to re-sign, it would be Reiter. While I’m not exactly overflowing with excitement about his performance, he’s a capable starting center and at a minimum, maintains continuity between the center and quarterback for next season.

Like everyone else, I am curious what his market value for next season is.
