Chiefs news surrounds how the Browns will be the lucky opponent for next weekend’s divisional matchup at Arrowhead.

After six games were played over the weekend, the Kansas City Chiefs have their opponent for the AFC Divisional Round and it’ll be the No. 6 seed Cleveland Browns, who curb-stomped the Steelers despite not having their head coach on their sideline. It was pretty brutal to watch, as the Browns got off to a 28-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.

At first, I thought maybe the game would turn out how Chiefs/Texans did last year where the Steelers would turn things around and blow the doors off Cleveland, but that didn’t happen. The Steelers looked terrible and the Browns capitalized on all of their mistakes and now they’ll be the team coming to Arrowhead to play the Chiefs.

While the Browns aren’t really a team I’m thrilled to play due to their talented run game, they’re not nearly as good of a team that we saw against Pittsburgh. The Chiefs won’t make those kinds of mistakes without being able to adjust and then come back and make Cleveland pay. Patrick Mahomes is a far better quarterback than an aging Ben Roethlisberger and he’ll put up points.

I was actually looking forward to seeing Mahomes vs Lamar Jackson for the second time this season, but the Browns had to go and spoil that. The Chiefs will definitely need to take this game seriously and not underestimate the Browns because look how that worked out for Pittsburgh.

This will be a fun matchup for sure. It’ll be the first time the Chiefs have faced Kareem Hunt since he had off the field issues and lied about it, which led to him being released. Cleveland will definitely utilize Hunt in the run game, but the Chiefs’ pass rush is going to have to be on point because the Browns’ offensive line has been playing really well down the stretch.

I’ll be honest when saying this wasn’t the matchup that I was expecting, but it’ll be Chiefs vs Browns at Arrowhead Stadium next Sunday. Let’s do this, Kansas City! Run it back!
