What did we learn about the Las Vegas Raiders?

After really impressing everyone in Week 11 with a last-second loss to the defending Super Bowl champions, the Las Vegas Raiders had a chance to show they were for real. Instead, they put up a massive stinker against the Falcons, a team that is going nowhere this year.

The Raiders fell to Atlanta by a score of 43-6 and now sit at 6-5 on the year and on the outside looking in at the playoffs. Vegas had no shot at winning the division after losing last week, but now they have an uphill battle when it comes to even making the playoffs.

It’s incredible how the Raiders were able to go blast-for-blast with the Chiefs, but could only put up six points against the Falcons who were curb-stomped by a Taysom Hill-led Saints team the week before. How does that happen?

The big storyline now is looking back to this time last year with the Raiders. They were 6-4 last year and then went 1-5 down the stretch to finish with a 7-9 record. That’s obviously more on Raiders fans’ minds than they want it to be, but it’s hard not to think that after this performance.

The team was terrible all around and now have their work cut out for them if they want to make it to the playoffs. They shot themselves in the foot with this loss and while they have an easier schedule moving forward, will this be a repeat of last year for the Silver and Black?

Next up: The Raiders hope to turn their fortunes around with a trip to New Jersey to face the winless Jets. If they lose that game, their season is over, and deservedly so.
