It’s not a great sign when your highlight from a game was yelling at your teammates on the sideline and getting into it on Twitter with a sports talk host, but that’s what the case was for Chris Jones in last week’s win. He had a rough game in Vegas, as the Raiders completely took him out of the equation (as Nate Taylor noted on Twitter).

Jones is a talented pass rusher and is one of the best defensive players not just in Kansas City, but in the entire league. He’s going to get back to getting after the quarterback, but he’s definitely been quiet lately (on the field at least).

The Bucs’ offensive line is banged up, so this is Jones’ chance to get home and add some sacks to his resumé. If he and the Chiefs pass rush can’t get to the quarterback this week against an injured o-line, then there will definitely be some cause for concern.

Jones wasn’t the only defensive player to struggle last week, but with the amount of money he’s making, when he doesn’t play well, fans are going to notice and they’re going to voice their concerns about it. That’s just the way things go.
