Washington Football Team vs Dallas Cowboys

Start of the Week: Antonio Gibson, RB, Washington Football Team

Antonio Gibson has been so damn good for fantasy football. He is a late-round running back who has been mega consistent and right now sits as a Top 12 running back. He also has been rounding into form, and Washington has actually been moving the ball well with Alex Smith under center.

Gibson may not be someone that you are thinking about starting because he has been locked into your lineup over the past few weeks. He has had some down games though, and in a few of my leagues, I have seen him on a few people’s benches. That surprised me, considering just how valuable he is.

The Cowboys defense has also been terrible this season, and Gibson is set to get most of the work for Washington’s offense. Gibson isn’t someone on the waiver wire, but if your trade deadline hasn’t passed yet, target the young running back.

I also know there are some DFS players out there. Gibson is the perfect mix of cheap and productive and will be a better pick in your DFS lineups than someone like Ezekiel Elliot.

Sit of the Week: Amari Cooper, WR, Dallas Cowboys

I am calling my shot this week. Bench Amari Cooper.

He could very well make me look very dumb, as Cooper is the type of wide receiver that can go for 100 yards and a touchdown on any given week. Cooper has been known to disappear at times though, and it is time for him to turn in a fantasy stinker.

I know that sounds very much like just a take steeped in narrative analysis, but it is true. Great players have bad games, and the Cowboys are going against a Washington defense with a lot of talent and a pass rush that can make Andy Dalton uncomfortable all day.

This week, I expect the Cowboys to attack via the run and the short pass game to try and stymie the vicious pass rush of Washington. I expect CeeDee Lamb, Ezekiel Elliot, and Tony Pollard to be utilized heavily. The last time these two teams met, the Dallas offense only put up three points. That is not an offense I want a piece of.
