CLYDE EDWARDS-HELAIRE

It’s become common for either Clyde Edwards-Helaire or Le’Veon Bell to make this list, but I’m going with CEH this week because he’s still the starting running back for the offense. The Chiefs didn’t really need their run game to be explosive last week, instead throwing for five touchdown passes and torching the Jets through the air.

This week, the run game will be more important, as the Panthers will more than likely limit the amount of big plays the Chiefs can make down the field. This hopefully can open things up for Edwards-Helaire to pop up several big runs or even make an impact as a pass catcher.

Last week, CEH had just six carries for 21 yards and the previous week saw him carry the rock eight times for 46 yards while also finding the end zone. The first round rookie has had just two games where he’s rushed for over 100 yards, so hopefully he see another one of those performances against Carolina.

The Panthers might not look like an intimidating team, but they have the weapons to be able to make this a competitive game. As mentioned above, Robby Anderson is talented and could give the Chiefs secondary a tough time, and Christian McCaffrey is one of the best running backs in the league.

It’s important for these four Kansas City Chiefs to step up and put on good performances against the Carolina Panthers.
