Gotta ask this one: is Lamar Jackson a better quarterback than Patrick Mahomes?

“I consider Mahomes and Jackson equals. If you don’t like the answer, so be it. Look, Jackson and Mahomes are both once in a lifetime talents. I have written an article where I described Mahomes vs. Jackson as the new version of Brady vs. Manning. These are the best quarterbacks in the league and it’s not close. I do believe that Jackson is the best dual threat quarterback I have ever seen. Mahomes is like the next incarnation of Brett Favre. We’ve seen great quarterbacks like Mahomes going all the way back to Johnny Unitas. That’s why he has faced far less questions and far more mainstream praise. While Mahomes has great athletic ability and is very much a dual threat at the position, his game isn’t a revolution of the position.

Jackson very much is a revolution at the position. Jackson is the best dual threat quarterback I have ever seen. Jackson has the kind of talent that let him have three games with five touchdown passes last year and a couple games with a perfect passer rating with the kind of talent that let him rush for 1,206 yards. Jackson has a different style than Mahomes yet he has incredible arm talent, his accuracy is getting insanely good all of the sudden too by the way, so he can win any way you want him to win.

If I had to choose, I’d take Jackson. It’s not because I think he’s better, remember I consider them equals. With Jackson’s always present threat with his legs, you increase the output of your running backs. Last year Jackson led the league in touchdown passes and the Ravens broke the record for rushing yards in a season. I believe a Super Bowl is very much in the cards very soon for Jackson and a player that keeps getting better at this rate earns my complete confidence. Jackson is the most fun player to watch in football. He’s a revolution.

Mahomes may be one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game when it’s said and done. This is not a matter of better or worse. These two players are special. You can’t go wrong with either of them, yet if you think one of them is leaps and bounds better than the other you’re lying to yourself. These two are equals.”
