START ‘EM #1

52. . Quarterback. Jacksonville Jaguars. Gardner Minshew. 1. player

Gardner Minshew surely heard all of the talk about how he wasn’t a long-term starter in the NFL and his response, at least early on, is “Oh yeah? Watch this.”

Minshew has had an incredible start to his second year as the Jaguars quarterback, throwing for a combined 512 yards, 6 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions thus far. Simply put, Minshew has been terrific and is shockingly now someone fantasy owners should look to get into their lineups.

I scooped Minshew up off the waiver wire this week and am planning to start him this week because my other quarterbacks options before this were Carson Wentz and Philip Rivers, neither of whom is having a good season 2 weeks in.

Minshew started off hot last year and then fizzled, so that could definitely happen again this year, but so far, he’s been stupendous and should be a lock to start this week against a Dolphins defense that has gotten torched in their 2 games to this point.

START ‘EM #2

Running Back. Jacksonville Jaguars. James Robinson. 2. player. 52.

Who would have thought that James Robinson, an undrafted rookie out of Illinois State, would be off to the kind of start that he is? Robinson had over 100 yards rushing against the Titans last week and found the end zone for the first time in his career.

This week, he gets a Dolphins defense that allowed 111 yards on the ground. The Dolphins did keep the Bills running backs out of the end zone, but Robinson should have plenty of opportunities to make an even bigger name for himself this week.

START ‘EM #3

. Tight End. Miami Dolphins. Mike Gesicki. 3. player. 59

Mike Gesicki is coming off a monster game against the Bills and will look to the same against a Jaguars defense that was torched by Jonnu Smith a week ago (and on the first play of the game nonetheless).

Last week, Gesicki had 8 catches for 130 yards and a touchdown and very well could replicate those numbers on Thursday night. Get him in your lineups ASAP.
