It took a 10-0 run in the fourth quarter and a missed field goal by the Bengals, but the Chargers got the win. How do you feel about the team after they escape with the win?

“I feel the same way that I felt about them heading into Week 1. This feels like a team that, with a game-manager at quarterback but talent around him, will win the games that they are “supposed” to win and lose the games that they are “supposed” to lose.”

Tyrod Taylor’s stat line looked pretty pedestrian yet he did lead the Chargers on two long scoring drives toward the end of the game. What are your thoughts on the team’s season-long success with him under center?

“Bolt Beat readers know that I am not the biggest Tyrod (Taylor) fan and Week 1 showed some of my concerns. He has a really bad problem of staring down his number one receiver and not looking at other options and if that number one receiver is not open he will throw the ball away/overthrow to ensure it is not a pick. However, it is early and he could get better as the year goes on. With all the talent around him I do think the Chargers can run an efficient offense that maximizes his strengths and minimizes his weaknesses (think Buffalo with Josh Allen) but they did not do that in Week 1.”
