Toughest Wide Receivers – Number 4: Chris Godwin

Chris Godwin. 4. player. 48. . Wide Receiver. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

It was hard putting Chris Godwin this low after the numbers he put up in 2019, but I couldn’t place him above the other three on this list. Godwin had a monster third NFL season, hauling in 86 catches for 1,333 yards and nine touchdowns.

It was his first 1,000 yard season and to think Godwin will slow down now would be foolish, especially with Tom Brady now in the fold in Tampa Bay. That team is STACKED with weapons, proven by our next entry….

Toughest Wide Receivers – Number 3: Mike Evans

. Wide Receiver. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Mike Evans. 3. player. 48

Two of the toughest wide receivers the Chiefs will face in 2020 are currently playing in Tampa Bay. We just discussed the first one, but Tampa also has Mike Evans, who they took in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Godwin might have had better stats than Evans last year, but the former first rounder has totaled over 1,000 yards in all six seasons he’s spent in the pros. Last year saw him finish the year with 67 receptions for 1,157 yards and eight touchdowns.

The Chiefs will have their hands full trying to stop both Godwin and Evans when the two meet up in Tampa Bay in week 12.
