Fantasy Football Quarterbacks to Target – Number 8: Josh Allen

16. . Quarterback. Buffalo Bills. Josh Allen. 8. player

Earlier we talked about how some quarterbacks are better real life quarterbacks than fantasy quarterbacks and here is the the inverse. Not to be a Josh Allen hater, but he is probably the worst quarterback on this list. Even so, he has the highest fantasy floor of any player mentioned to this point because of what he can do with his legs.

He can look absolutely abysmal throwing the football in any given game (and he does at times), but still save his fantasy day using his mobility.

Last season he ran for a touchdown in eight of his games finishing with nine total rushing touchdowns and he really only played in 15 games (he played 7 snaps in the Bills Week 17 loss to the Jets). Having a rushing touchdown in over half of his fantasy games is huge.

The Bills also added Stefon Diggs this offseason, so there’s at least a sliver of hope that he improves in the passing game now having one of the best route runners in the league to target. Nevertheless, Allen may not have the upside of a lot of the quarterbacks on this list, but he does possess a pretty high floor and should fall too far, if any, from his QB6 performance last season.

Fantasy Football Quarterbacks to Target – Number 7: Drew Brees

Drew Brees. 7. player. 15. . Quarterback. New Orleans Saints

Drew Brees is the oldie but goodie member of this list. Brady had aged out of most top fantasy quarterback lists before moving to Tampa Bay, but Brees – at the ripe age of 41 – had managed to stay fantasy relevant for virtually his whole career. Brees should continue that trend this year adding another top 10 finish notch to his belt.

Brees is just an all around good quarterback and finds ways to get the job done both on the field and for fantasy teams. Last year he battled with injury, but still finished in the top eight in fantasy points per game.

He is throwing to arguably the best wide receiver in football and a motivated Alvin Kamara who is ready to return to form. The Saints also added Emmanuel Sanders over the offseason giving Brees yet another option.

Brees has the arm talent, the football IQ, and the weapons to be a great fantasy quarterback. He doesn’t have as high of a ceiling as some of the other guys on this list, but has one of the highest floors. For the play it safe fantasy owners out there, Brees is as solid of a bet as any to finish in the top 10 if healthy.
