It’s always interesting to see which teams overcome the red flags that look to plague them before the season starts.
Hopefully, the rest of the AFC West will expend most of their energy in overcoming whatever red flag plagues them while Kansas City puts together their best season ever.
Of all the teams in the West, the Chiefs have what it takes to overcome their red flag. With so many moving parts returning, it’s not beyond reason that this team will be even better in 2020.
If Kansas City can set aside the urge to let the 2019 season define them, they will begin to lay the foundation for a dynasty. This is a team with a future Hall of Fame head coach who isn’t looking to slow down, the league’s top quarterback locked in for a decade, and an organization that knows what it takes to win. So, this could legitimately happen.
For the rest of the AFC West, the biggest red flag that will ultimately keep them from being successful in 2020 and beyond is the one with the Arrowhead on it in Kansas City.
