JORDAN MATTHEWS

After a promising start to his career, Jordan Matthews fell off the map quite a bit. He had season totals of 872, 997, and 804 in 2014, 2015, and 2016, but that was the end of the better days for Matthews.

After totaling 19 touchdowns through the first three seasons of his career, Matthews had just three in the next three seasons following that. The drop-off started when he was traded from Philadelphia to Buffalo, but even after he went back to Philly in 2018, things didn’t work out.

Matthews turns 28 this offseason, so there’s still a possibility that he can be that player we saw in the first three years of his career. The Chiefs should consider signing him to see if Andy Reid can get anything out of him.

CHESTER ROGERS

If the Chiefs are looking to sign another young wideout, then Chester Rogers could be a good option. Rogers’ stats aren’t going to wow anyone, as he had just 179 receiving yards a season ago and found the end zone twice.

Rogers is just 26 years old though and can be an option as a return man for the Chiefs if they were to bring him in. He’s not going to be a lethal weapon, but with Mahomes throwing to him, he could surely find the end zone more than twice.

These are just a few of the names the KC Chiefs should consider in free agency, but the best bet would be to find another wideout in the 2020 draft, which is absolutely stacked with talent.
