START ‘EM – QB

Quarterback. Los Angeles Rams. Jared Goff. 1. player. 51.

Jared Goff rebounded last week with 25 fantasy points in ESPN PPR leagues. That came after a rough few weeks under center for Goff, but he showed he can take advantage of poor defenses.

Fortunately for those of you who have Goff in your league, he has another terrible defense on the schedule this week; the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals are the WORST defense in the league, per NFL.com stats, and that sets up nicely for Goff to have a big game.

Throw in that this match-up is in Los Angeles and there’s no good reason to keep Jared Goff on the bench this week.

SIT ‘EM – QB

Quarterback. San Francisco 49ers. Jimmy Garoppolo. 2. player. 42.

Jimmy Garoppolo hasn’t been the guy many thought he’d be this year and has become more of a backup quarterback in most leagues. If you play in a two starting quarterback league then Garoppolo might be more appealing to throw in as a starter, but otherwise, don’t trust him.

This week, Garoppolo and his undefeated Niners have a tough match-up against the stingy Panthers defense, who rank as the seventh best team against the pass. Considering how up and down (mostly down) Garoppolo has been this year, I wouldn’t bank on him to get you many points this week.

Keep Jimmy G on the bench in week eight.
