Week 9 – Kansas City Chiefs vs Minnesota Vikings (Leigh)

After a close game against the Packers, the Chiefs have yet another NFC North match-up the very next week, and it’ll also take place at Arrowhead Stadium. This time, it’s the Minnesota Vikings coming to town in a rematch of Super Bowl IV.

The Vikings are a tough team to peg.

On the one hand, they’ve had a stout defense over the past few years that kept them in games even when they had no business being in those games. On the other hand, their offense is so up and down, it hurts to watch at times.

Minnesota was arguably the most disappointing team a season ago after having made the NFC Championship Game the year prior. They failed to make the postseason and that had to be tough to stomach for their fan base, who have suffered through a lot.

While the Vikings have two of the best receivers in the game in Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs, I don’t see them coming into Arrowhead and leaving with a W.

PREDICTION: This game will be close in the first half, but the Chiefs break away in the second half and ultimately win 31-17.

STANDOUT PLAYER: A round of applause for Mitchell Schwartz, who makes sure none of those Vikings defenders get to Patrick Mahomes.

RECORD: 8-1
