RANKING QUARTERBACKS ON CHIEFS SCHEDULE

NUMBER 12 – JACOBY BRISSETT

When I initially wrote this post, Andrew Luck was number three on the rankings and the Chiefs vs Colts game was a big one on the schedule. Well, we all know what happened; Luck retired at the ripe age of 29 and now it’ll be the Jacoby Brissett show in Indianapolis.

Whether you agree with Luck’s decision or not, what’s done is done and now Brissett will be in charge of quarterbacking the Colts in 2019. Brissett handled the quarterback duties in 2017 when Luck missed the entire season due to injury and wasn’t terrible. He threw for 3,098 yards, 13 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

Where Brissett can really get defenses is his ability to take off and run with the football. He ran for 260 yards and four touchdowns in the 2017 season and could potentially capitalize on the Chiefs run defense with his legs.

While Brissett isn’t an awful option to have as a backup quarterback, he was Indy’s backup for a reason and is nowhere near as good as Andrew Luck. Because he’s inexperienced and now thrust into the starting role, he’s the second weakest quarterback on the Kansas City Chiefs’ 2019 schedule.
