RANKING QUARTERBACKS ON CHIEFS SCHEDULE

NUMBER 4 – PHILIP RIVERS

The top four shouldn’t surprise anyone and we’ll start it off with Philip Rivers. The Chiefs are used to facing Rivers twice a year, as they’ve done so since the 2006 season when Rivers took over full time for the then-San Diego Chargers.

While Rivers and the Chargers might play in Los Angeles now, that hasn’t slowed down the former first round pick whatsoever. Rivers continues to be the same durable player he was over a decade ago.

Last year saw Rivers throw for 4,308 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. The Chargers, as Chiefs Kingdom knows, went 12-4, but it wasn’t enough to win the AFC West. The Chiefs won the division for the third straight year and the Chargers had to play in Baltimore and then in Foxborough the following week.

Rivers has had his fair share of rough games against the Chiefs, but he finally got a victory against them last year. By this point, fans know what to expect when the Chiefs face Rivers. He’s going to put up a decent stat line, maybe throw a few picks, and the game is going to be close throughout.
