FANTASY FOOTBALL DEEP SLEEPERS TO TARGET IN 2019

7. Kalen Ballage, RB Miami Dolphins

Kalen Ballage has all the physical gifts to be a great running back in the NFL. Ballage ran a 4.46-second 40-yard dash (which if you can remember from a couple of slides ago is faster than Alvin Kamara) at 6’2″ 228lbs. That is incredible speed at that size.

Ballage was able to stir up a little bit of fantasy hype last season but then didn’t get the opportunities to produce on the field for most of the season. However, towards the end of the season, he started to see some playing time and he made the most of it.

In week 15 he ripped off a 75-yard touchdown on his way to a 123-yard game on just 12 carries. The next week he showed that he could do it with his hands as well catching two passes for 39 yards and in the last week of the season, he tied his season-high in carries with 12 and gained a respectable 47 yards.

Kenyan Drake has sustained a foot injury recently which could create the opportunity Ballage needs to take over the starting job. Whether he can capitalize on this opportunity remains to be seen, but at his current ADP of 115.7, he could be a smart pick to take a shot on.
