MECOLE HARDMAN

Mecole Hardman‘s stock is jumping right off the charts this preseason and doesn’t look like it is coming down anytime soon. The second round rookie and former Georgia Bulldog has opened eyes across the NFL and is showing his value to an already potent Chiefs offense.

Now halfway through the 2019 preseason, Hardman has been getting all the playing time needed to prepare for his upcoming regular season debut. With two games under his belt, Hardman has put numbers up across the board. He currently has three receptions for 50 yards and has one kick return for 44 yards. Hardman has also taken a handoff out of the backfield, but had nowhere to go but backwards.

The parts of Hardman’s game that may go unrecognized is his ability to track the ball while it’s in the air. We see how time after time Tyreek Hill will have to adjust on downfield throws and now Hardman is following suit and doing the same things. Being able to get his head and hands around to the ball is a trait that has come quick for the rookie.

This coming season will be fun to watch with all the speed on the offensive side of the ball. With Mecole Hardman now getting his name in the mix for more snaps, it will be interesting to see all the different types of ways he will be used.
